AZIMUT PRESENTS FOUR AMERICAS PREMIERES AT THE FORT LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW

Azimut impresses visitors again with four Americas premieres at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. They are the new Verve 48 outboard, the latest model in this Series so popular with thrill-seeking US owners, alongside the Magellano 60 crossover featuring timeless styling, plus superyacht Grande 36M with an innovative semi-walkaround upper deck and the new S7, the sport yacht that’s green at heart.

Azimut will be in the spotlight at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show – held from October 25 to 29 – where they will be exhibiting 15 yachts, including four models being presented for the first time to an American public that has never wavered in its loyalty to the brand.

Verve 48 is the new sport-weekender making its debut in the United States, with appealing design by Azimut in collaboration with Francesco Struglia both for the interiors and exteriors. The Verve Series has made a mark on the US market, selling over 110 units in three years thanks to an innate ability to combine speed and excitement with the desire to feel at one with the sea. Building on the heritage of its acclaimed predecessor Verve 47, Verve 48 is powered by three 600 HP Mercury outboards that take the yacht to a top speed of 50 knots for smooth, fast trips between hot spots. The model features various solutions for even closer proximity to the water, such as the larger, all-new stern area, which flows on the lefthand side into the most extensive swim platform ever, forming a single water’s edge space. The excitement and contact with nature are amplified by the in-hull glazed surface that rises as far as the gunwale, giving the helm station a thrilling view of the wake forming on each side of the hull.

Fresh from its success at the European boat shows, Magellano 60 is the second new Azimut product making the trip to Fort Lauderdale. This crossover featuring a timeless design and elegant lines is for owners who love long cruises and spending extended periods on board with their family and friends. Magellano 60 features the latest R&D developments from Azimut|Benetti Group, which for over 20 years has been charting a Green Path for the yachting industry by adopting the best technological solutions available to reduce emissions and improve life on board.  Magellano 60, in fact, is the model Azimut chose for the first voyages powered by HVOlution. This biofuel produced by Eni Sustainable Mobility with 100% renewable raw materials*, combined with the high-efficiency semi-planing Dual Mode hull, has made it possible to reduce well-to-wake CO2 emissions by over 80% compared to a yacht of comparable size powered by fossil fuel. To improve the cruising experience and the onboard lifestyle still further, Azimut has developed a new smart boat automation system with Google Cloud and Reply: using a proprietary app it is possible to interact with the yacht and control – including remotely – the entertainment system, lighting, air-conditioning and appliances, as well as to monitor water and fuel levels in real time for optimum management of onboard resources.

At the US boat show, Azimut is also presenting Grande 36M, a superyacht featuring innovative design choices that create barrier-free environments, including the concept of the semi-walkaround upper deck, which runs on the same level from the stern almost to the tip of the bow. This revolutionizes the traditional layout and creates an area that didn’t exist before on boats this size. Adding to the barrier-free lifestyle experience, the glazed surfaces in the skylounge open and disappear completely from view, turning the deck into a huge space from which to scan the horizon. The exterior design is in the unmistakable style of Alberto Mancini and the interior design is by Achille Salvagni. Grande 36M also forms part of Azimut’s family of Low Emission Yachts, with the high-efficiency D2P® Displacement-to-Planing hull, designed by P.L. AUSONIO Naval Architecture together with the Shipyard’s R&D office, and extensive use of carbon fibre reducing the weight of the superstructure. These innovative design features introduced by Azimut make it possible to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 30%, at both slow cruising and high speeds, compared to boats of the same weight and size with a traditional chine hull.

Visitors to the boat show will also be able to admire another of Azimut’s Low Emission Yachts, the new S7, a super-lightweight, hi-tech sport yacht designed for the sportiest, most dynamic owners. By pairing the Volvo IPS triple propulsion system with the most advanced naval architecture in the category, S7 delivers maximum performance while reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 30% compared to shaft line boats of the same weight and size with a traditional chine hull. With exteriors designed in collaboration with yacht designer Alberto Mancini, this 72-footer has chic residential-style interiors designed by creative boutique Yachtique, making its debut on board an Azimut yacht.
