SHERPA 80 XL continues to win praise: an Italian couple with extensive experience owning sailing yachts (Kokomo, Zefira, Ribelle) have launched their first motor yacht, featuring a custom layout and personalised decor created through close collaboration between the Owners and the Yard.
MY “Mabelle”, the fourth SHERPA 80XL unit, entered the water in the first half of August in the magnificent stretch of sea between Capri and the Sorrento peninsula, watched by the Owners, the yard’s management and all the craftsmen who contributed to the yacht’s construction.
The new unit of the hugely successful SHERPA 80 XL model created by ARCADIA YACHTS, the Yard founded by Ugo Pellegrini, offers ever present contact with nature, incredible liveability with plenty of space devoted to life at sea and socialising, continuity between exteriors and interiors, glazed surfaces and opening windows, and the use of solar panels, low-power devices and LED lighting.
Sherpa 80 XL, with a length of 24 meters and a beam of 7 meters, offers extensive customisation options to meet the Owners’ wishes down to the smallest detail. Which is why “Mabelle”, launched on the beautiful Sorrento coast, features colours, liveability, practicality and a marine style that set it apart from previous models.
The Italian Owners, who have extensive experience with sailing yachts around the world, working in close collaboration with Arcadia Yachts’ decor and style professionals, have created another unique vessel. Inspired by muted colours, the recently launched model eliminates contrasts and becomes one with the blue sky and sea, even in the interiors. With four cabins characterised by generous spaces and elegant solutions, it provides over 200 square meters of interiors and exteriors that can be used year-round, as well as offering sweeping views and every comfort. The exceptionally spacious lazarette is totally free of water toys and the tender, which are stowed in the side garage.
The boat can be enjoyed to the full at any time of day, offering genuine well-being, relaxation and the chance to enjoy a peaceful holiday at sea.
A kind of convertible “JARDIN D’HIVER” has been created on the aft deck, with sliding glass doors aft and on either side so that it can be closed off and the dining area heated or cooled. This solution allows the area to be used throughout the year.
The two Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines provide a range of over 1200 nautical miles at a leisurely cruising speed of about 10 knots. The top speed is about 23 knots in test conditions.
The yacht is aligned with Arcadia Yachts’ design philosophy, which focuses on the use of renewable energy to reduce environmental impact, and is fitted with solar panels that provide around 3 kW of clean energy, enough to power the yacht’s main hospitality services.
